Fusion Welding

At RG Metals, we believe that welding is a union of precise science and profound art. Our fusion welding facility is the heart of our manufacturing operations, where heat and material converge to create joints that are more than just physical bonds—they are connections of ideas, forged by our “fire artists” to produce strong and reliable work.

1. Oxy-Acetylene Welding (OAW) / Las Asetilin

The Foundation of the Art of Metalworking. OAW is the most classic and fundamental welding method, using a flame produced from a mixture of oxygen and acetylene gas. In the hands of an expert, our OAW facility becomes a versatile tool not only for joining thin metals with exceptional heat control but also for heating, cutting, and brazing processes. This is where manual skill, sensitivity, and a deep understanding of metal behavior are truly tested and honed.

2. Shielded Metal Arc Welding (SMAW)

The Workhorse of the Welding Industry. SMAW, more commonly known as stick welding, is the most robust and versatile method in the world of fabrication. Our SMAW facility is the primary pillar for jobs that demand strength and reliability in various conditions. With its ability to be used outdoors and on thick materials, SMAW is the mainstay for structural projects, heavy equipment repair, and construction where solid and strong joints are an absolute must.

3. Gas Metal Arc Welding (GMAW)

Speed and Efficiency for Modern Production. GMAW, or MIG welding, symbolizes productivity in the welding world. By using a continuous wire feed and a shielding gas, this process enables fast and clean welds, ideal for mass production and automated fabrication. In our facility, GMAW serves as the backbone for large-scale manufacturing projects and robotic fabrication integration, thanks to its capability to consistently produce high-quality welds with minimal lead time.

4. Gas Tungsten Arc Welding (GTAW)

Precision and Aesthetic Welding. If there is a method that most closely resembles “painting with fire,” it is GTAW or TIG welding. This process demands high skill but offers complete control over the weld pool, resulting in joints that are exceptionally clean, strong, and visually appealing. In our facility, GTAW is used for the most delicate applications that require perfection, such as joining high-pressure pipes, aerospace components, and fabricating stainless steel or aluminum to the highest quality standards.

5. Fiber Laser Welding

The New Era in Metal Joining. Stepping beyond arc welding, our facility features Fiber Laser Welding technology. By utilizing a high-energy light beam, the laser can join metals with unmatched speed and precision, resulting in a minimal heat-affected zone and exceptional control. Our laser beam welding facility enables the joining of thin materials, welding of complex components with low distortion, the ability to join dissimilar materials, and the development of hybrid joining technologies for applications demanding perfection, such as in the medical, electronics, and automotive industries.
