Envisioning the Future of Manufacturing with Robotic Precision. This facility is our central hub where the future of manufacturing meets present reality. We view robots not just as tools for mass production, but as platforms for research and development. Here, we merge the power of welding with artificial intelligence and numerical control to create manufacturing processes that are flexible, repeatable, and capable of handling complex designs beyond the reach of conventional methods. We believe the future lies in intelligent systems, and we are building it here, one weld layer at a time.
1. 6-Axis Robotic Arm
The core of our robotic work cell is a versatile 6-axis industrial robotic arm. Programmed to perform complex welding tasks, this arm can manipulate a welding torch with exceptional reach and orientation. It is capable of creating welds on intricate geometries, following precise paths, and maintaining a consistency that is difficult to achieve manually. We utilize this facility for research on welding automation, process development for new materials, and fabricating components with high precision and repeatability.
2. 2-Axis CNC Machine
While the robotic arm handles more complex paths, our 2-axis CNC welding machine provides high speed and efficiency. With computer-controlled movement on the X and Y axes, this machine is ideal for weld cladding, surface hardfacing, and 2D additive manufacturing applications. Its ability to consistently deposit material layer by layer makes it an excellent platform for studying wear-resistant coatings, bimetallic structures, and the fundamentals of additive manufacturing.
